New video is up & ready to watch!
There's a huge lesson that I don't talk about in the video and that's the power of figuring out how to use tools to build processes that suit you & your needs.
The focus of the video is how I built a personal journal / database that lives on my computer while still letting me use my other devices to add notes to it.
AND I figured out how to encrypt the whole thing so my important information isn't just sitting there for anyone to see if I happen to lose my laptop & someone finds it.
All three programs I talk about are open source projects that are free to use. (I've paid to support each, but you don't have to if you don't want to.)
This goes right in line with Urbit, the open source project we're starting to talk about.
There's always the tradeoff: companies make it easier to accomplish your goals but what they want in return is to own your data so they can sell it to advertisers.
Or, with the world's tiniest bit of gumption you can tell yourself "I can figure this out" and then go figure it out.
So, even if you don't watch the video, I think there's a lot of value in telling yourself: "I got this."
Best thoughts,
